Independent Test Verifies Wiresoft Performance --Sentry Security Platform Earns Tolly Group's "Up To Spec" Certification. Cincinnati - May 1, 2006 - Wiresoft Net, Inc. is awarded The Tolly Group's "Up to Spec" certification for their new Sentry Security Platform (SSP). This four-in-one security solution offers small and mid-sized companies complete network protection and freedom from business interruption with a firewall, anti-virus defense, spam blocking and VPN connectivity.. "Smaller businesses need a multipurpose security platform that supplies complete security protection," said Kevin Tolly, president, CEO and founder of The Tolly Group. "The dilemma they've faced is an IT market abound with supplier after supplier offering point solutions for security. Wiresoft's new product delivers the necessary breadth and depth of security management capabilities in a single, effective platform, at an exceptionally attractive price point." Tolly Group engineers conducted a comprehensive and rigorous product evaluation. A battery of performance tests provide a thorough assessment of the Sentry Security Platform, such as it's effectiveness at blocking spam traffic, the aggregate throughput delivered while operating as a firewall, the aggregate throughput delivered across a VPN connection and the aggregate throughput while scanning Web traffic for viruses. Evaluators also tested a number of functions, including: set up, hardware reliability and failover protection. Product test results are detailed in a recently released Tolly Group-generated white paper. The analysis, Securing SMB Networks Without Breaking the Bank, is available at The Tolly Group web link: http://www.tolly.com/DocDetail.aspx?DocNumber=206113. "The seal of approval from this respected and independent product performance testing company provides us with credibility as we take our new and innovative Sentry Security Platform to the marketplace," explains Tom Schram, Wiresoft president and CEO. "Wiresoft's Sentry Security Platform reflects the new product creativity and value we are proud to have introduced through Interop," said Lenny Heymann, Interop General Manager. "This innovation in network security management for the small to medium size business offers the same protection for SMB's that had, in a practical sense, only been available to larger enterprise customers. VARs and end-users in attendance at Interop recognize the value of combining ease and security of network management with minimized costs and complexities." Like the comprehensive Sentry platform, Wiresoft's pricing structure also is all-in-one. There are no hidden costs, such as per-seat-licensing fees or software upgrade charges. Customers pay the same amount regardless of the number of users and all upgrades are included in the subscription fee. Retail pricing for the SSP is $1495 for a one year subscription or $1795 for a three-year agreement. Wiresoft's stand-alone platform delivers a comprehensive perimeter defense at the network layer. It guards against security threats encountered by small- and medium-sized businesses. In addition, all Sentry operations are managed by Wiresoft's Automated Network Administrator (ANA), which resides on the company's corporate network and accesses each Sentry via the Internet. ANA uses the secure shell (SSH) protocol to access Sentry units. It provides critical and constant oversight of security operations, serving as the equivalent of a human administrator. ANA continuously monitors the Sentry and ensures uninterrupted business continuity with five key system management functions:
Wiresoft's hardware platform offers untapped processing and storage capabilities to facilitate future functionality additions. Sentry's expandability enables a product life span that far exceeds that of competitors. Sentry is designed to evolve along with the Internet, and meet emerging customer needs. Company officials say additional products and services will be made available to Sentry customers with no need for hardware modifications. About Wiresoft Net, Inc. |
