Wiresoft Announces Plans For Q1 2008 Release of Updated Hardware Platform and Software Upgrades Seattle, WA; November 12, 2007 – Wiresoft Net, Inc. announced today that it will introduce their next major software upgrade in Q1 of calendar year 2008. The software improvements will incorporate all of the current modules (firewall, anti-virus, spamwall, VPN, content filtering, 24/7 monitoring and updating) as well as the addition of an easy to use managed service module with a graphical user interface that will make it easier than ever before to manage a network’s security as well as managing multiple sites. This new release will be installed in the same case enclosure, which is fanless but contains a high performance miniature hard drive. It is Wiresoft’s objective to continue providing their customers reliable and steady performance from their units, regardless of installation location since heat buildup is not a factor in where the unit is placed physically (Wiresoft’s current Sentry platform is fanless and this is accomplished by the inclusion of a four pound aluminum heat sink in the case just for this purpose). “The updating of our software reflects marketplace changes and our desire to be responsive to what our customers need,” said Ron Lockard, Wiresoft’s Vice President of Technology. Lockard also added “we know that the typical small to medium sized business needs a reliable unified threat management platform that will perform multiple tasks and enable remote network management in a secure environment. Wiresoft’s first major software upgrade will ensure customers can get the most out of their Wiresoft product and also be able to easily track and report what the Sentry has been doing to protect a network, on either one or multiple Sentry platforms via a remote managed service program.” According to Brennan Watkins, Wiresoft’s President, “the roll out of the new platform and version 10.0 of our UTM software will continue Wiresoft’s drive to continually be sensitive to the increased needs associated with today’s multi-threat risks from connectivity to the Internet.” Wiresoft has designed the new software to be compatible with the current hardware platform. As well, the introduction of the new software will also see a new brand name for the Sentry called Firegate, a trademarked name owned by Wiresoft. The name Firegate better communicates what our product stands for in the marketplace and in the eyes of our consumers” said Tom Schram, Wiresoft’s VP of Marketing. Schram also said “the word ‘Sentry’ helped communicate the concept that we protected the perimeter of the network, typically what a Sentry does while on duty. It’s now time to more closely focus the brand name on what we actually do, which is provide a ‘firewall’ at the network ‘gateway’, thus the name Firegate.” About Wiresoft Net, Inc.: Wiresoft Net, Inc. is a leading provider of network security solutions specifically designed for small- and mid-sized businesses.
