I cannot connect to the remote network? - use the following suggestion below in the order given
- Verify that you are connected to the Internet and that the Sentry is also on-line
- Review the settings:
- IP address range is set correctly
- Service is enabled
- User name and password (case-sensitive)
- No conflict of IP ranges (Each network must have different IP ranges Example: Home Network 192.168.0.1/Office Network 192.168.1.1)
- Verify that port 1723 is open on the sentry
- Are you behind a firewall? Have someone else try to connect from a different location.
- Did your IP address change? (see using dynamic dns below for further options)
Is your Dynamic DNS working correctly?
- Try to connect using just your IP address instead of the dynamic DNS name.
- Verify that the dynamic DNS service is enabled.
It seems to work but I cannot get access to the network share?
- No conflict of IP ranges (Each network must have different IP ranges Example: Home Network 192.168.0.1/Office Network 192.168.1.1)
- Once you have established the initial connection, you may need to call your network administrator
